Katie Gleason, OD, FAAO is an Idaho native. She attended Carroll College where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2008. Dr. Gleason then completed an ocular disease residency at the James H Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. Dr. Gleason is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. During her training, Dr. Gleason took the opportunity to travel to Guatemala and provide eye care services for those in need.
Upon finishing her training, Dr. Gleason started her career in Moscow and Lewiston, ID where she was in private practice for 13 years. Dr. Gleason is an experienced clinician with special interest in dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetes, autoimmune conditions, and keratoconus. Dr. Gleason has spent the past five years becoming a specialty contact lens fitter with scleral lenses for patients with corneal eye disease, such as keratoconus and post corneal grafts. Dr. Gleason is also tremendously experienced in the co-management of surgical procedures.
Dr. Gleason moved to northern Idaho with her husband and their three dogs. They look forward to enjoying all the outdoor activities that Northern Idaho has to offer.
