Drew Thomas, M.D. is originally from Louisiana and received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He completed medical school and ophthalmology residency from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Dr. Thomas began his career in Monroe, Louisiana and joined North Idaho Eye Institute in 2019.
Dr. Thomas is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Dr. Thomas’s areas of emphasis are cataract surgery, refractive surgery (LASIK/PRK), and general eye care for patients with diabetes, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. He is specifically interested in refractive cataract surgery and enjoys getting to know his patients and putting together a specific surgical plan tailored to each patient’s needs and lifestyle.
Dr. Thomas and his wife and four children enjoy exploring the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest and experiencing everything it has to offer.
